Asia Cup 2022: Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly heaped praise on the star India batter, Virat Kohli. And, Ganguly also feels that the right-handed batter has more skills than he himself as well. However, Kohli, who led India between 2017 and 2021, is one of the best batters India has produced and amongst the most prolific players of the current generation.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli averages more than 50 in both forms of white-ball cricket as well. While speaking on the TRS podcast, Saurav Ganguly stated that Kohli will end up playing more games than he did in his cricketing career.
Asia Cup 2022: Virat Kohli has returned in form with a hundred
Meanwhile, it is also notable that Virat Kohli recently scored his 71st international hundred against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup and it came after three years of his last century as well. It was also his first T20I hundred. Kohli’s unbeaten 122 off 61 balls proved to be India’s highest individual score in the shortest format as well.
And, Sourav Ganguly shared his views on the constant criticism that cricketers have been facing in recent times and recalled how he had dealt with it during his playing days. However, Virat Kohli’s return to form was the only positive in Team India’s rather forgetful Asia Cup campaign where the Men in Blue were knocked out after their back-to-back defeats to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super Four stage as well.
