Asia Cup 2022: A Disheartening Batting Show from Pakistan
After utilizing the 20 overs, Sri Lanka scored 170 runs and it was good as per the final scenario. In reply, it was a total disappointment for Pakistani batters. They lost two wickets very early and this pushed them on the back foot. From there, they were under the pump which did not let the batters play freely.
But in all of these, the deputy of this team, Rizwan once again shined with his half-century. He scored 55 runs, but it came in with a very low strike rate of 115. Once again Babar Azam went for very cheap, and the entire tournament went very poorly for him. None of the batters performed as per their standards and this costs Pakistan.
The bowling unit of Sri Lanka should get praise for their great bowling performance. Right-Arm Medium Fast Bowler, Pramod Madushan picked a four-wicket haul. And star players Hasaranga and Chamika Karuratne did the remaining job for the team. So, overall, it was a great outing for Sri Lanka. And this will boost the confidence of this team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
