BCCI angry as Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of T20 World Cup due to adventure activity

Ravindra Jadeja will miss the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia due to a freak injury. He was injured due to an adventure activity, according to famous journalist K Sriniwas Rao.

At the team hotel in Dubai, Jadeja was asked to take some water-based activities.

“He has to balance himself on a ski board as part of the adventure activity. However, it was not included in the coaching manual. He slipped and twisted his ankle badly, which led to surgery,” sources told TOI.

Jadeja was operated on by famous orthopedic surgeon Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala in Mumbai.

Why was Jadeja allowed to take a risky activity just before the ICC T20 World Cup? Was it required?

According to TOI, some of the BCCI are angry with what happened with one of the most important players in Dubai. The apex body is likely to seek an explanation from the team management.

“The silence of Rahul Dravid is baffling. He should have lost his cool, considering the freak nature of Jadeja’s injury,” the source added.
