Dear Afridi, some people retire only once, so please spare Virat from all this – Mishra mocks Shahid after his statement on Kohli’s retirement

Former India player Amit Mishra has trolled Shahid Afridi after his statement on Virat Kohli’s retirement.

Afridi suggested that Kohli must decide the right time for his retirement before he is dropped from the Indian team.

He further said that Virat is a champion player who has done well since making his international debut and will call off his playing days on a high. “Virat has been an exceptional player who has made a name for himself after overcoming his struggles. I feel he will retire on a high before he gets dropped from the team,” said Afridi.

“In Asia, few players have timed their retirement to perfection, and Virat will follow the right process. He won’t stay back when he is not able to perform,” he added.

Reacting to Afridi’s statement, Mishra urged him to stay away from the Indian player as some cricketer only retires once.

“Dear Afridi, some people retire only once, so please spare Virat Kohli from all this,” he wrote.

He was taking a dig at Afridi and other Pakistan players, who have returned to cricket after hanging their boots.
