India has been knocked out from the Asia Cup after losing their second consecutive game in the Super 4 stage. Pakistan and Sri Lanka defeated India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.
The Men in Blue lacked the proper bowling line-up with no impactful third seamer in the squad. Wasim Akram has questioned the selection of the pacers and stated that it would be difficult for India to make changes ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
“My question is that how will you find and replace bowlers just 3-4 games before the World Cup?” Akram asked on Star Sports.
“If I were Rohit Sharma, I would tell Avesh Khan to bowl fast, and he can’t; I don’t want such bowlers in the squad,” he said.
“His purpose has to be to bowl fast, and if he can’t do that, what is the point of having him in the team? I want Rohit to take tough calls and speak to fast bowlers,” he added.
