Former India selector Saba Karim believes it will be very tough for Ravindra Jadeja to return to international cricket.
The 33-year-old picked up an injury on his right knee in the second match of the Asia Cup 2022 against Hong Kong. He is likely to be ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 after undergoing the knife.
Speaking to Sports18, Karim said that it is not easy to get back into rhythm after coming back from an injury at this age.
“It’s a tough phase for him because whenever he comes back, it will not be easy because of the age factor,” he said.
“Credit goes to him for making impressive comebacks in the past as he is naturally such a gifted player,” he added.
The former player also talked about rehab. ” I think it may not be easy for him to do that with age. So I think he needs to go back and work on his rehab and then try to return to cricket.”
