Founder of Afghanistan Premier League justifies rowdy behavior of fans, gives suggestion to Shoaib in a threatening tone

Afghanistan fans went berserk after their team lost to Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. They uprooted chairs and hit Pakistan supporters, causing a stamped-like situation in the stadium.

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar took to Twitter to condemn the behavior and even tagged Shafiq Stanikzai, who is the founder of the Afghanistan Premier League and former Chief Executive of Afghanistan Cricket Board.

“This is what Afghan fans are doing. This is what they’ve done in the past multiple times. This is a game and it’s supposed to be played and taken in the right spirit. @ShafiqStanikzai your crowd & your players both need to learn a few things if you guys want to grow in the sport,” he wrote. Shafiq Stanikzai spoke in favour of the fans and even gave a suggestion to Shoaib in a threatening tone.

“You can’t control the emotions of the crowd and such incidents happened in the world of cricket multiple, you should go ask Kabir Khan, Inzimam Bhai and @iRashidLatif68 how we treated them. Am giving you an advice next time baat ko nation pe Mat lena,” he wrote.
