Virat Kohli sent a heartfelt message to Aaron Finch after the Australian opener announced his retirement from one-day internationals.
The final ODI between Australia and New Zealand would be Finchâs final game in the 50-overs format. He will continue to lead the world champions in T20Is.
Finch took to Instagram and said that it was a privilege playing with and against some of the greatest players of all time.
âItâs been one hell of a ride! To play with and against some of the greatest players of all time has been a privilege. Representing Australia was my dream as a kid and to have the opportunities I have is beyond anything I couldâve hoped for. Thanks so much for all of the kind words, messages and well wishes!â said Finch on Instagram.
Kohli, who played with Finch during their at Royal Challengers Bangalore, congratulated the white-ball captain.
âWell done finchy. It was great to play against you all these years and with you as well at rcb. Enjoy the next phase of your life to the fullest,â said Kohli.
Aaron represented Australia in 145 ODIs and scored 5401 runs with the help of 17 hundred and 30 fifties.
