Team India lost a couple of early wickets in their chase against Pakistan in their Asia Cup opener in Dubai. KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli left the team in trouble after their dismissals.
Gautam Gambhir and Wasim Akram weren’t too impressed with India’s “approach” in this game, which has become the norm under Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid.
Gambhir and Akram believe that India need to play according to the situation.
“You shouldn’t take unwanted risk in India vs Pakistan game. Have a positive approach but also read the situation,” said Wasim Akram.
Gambhir was more critical of the approach. He insisted that the main aim should be to win the game, whether in the 15th or 19th over.
“What’s the need of going bang bang? You aim to win a game, be it in the 15th or 19th over of the innings,” said Gambhir.
