Harbhajan Singh fires shots at cheap fans for trolling Arshdeep Singh

Pakistan avenged their group stage loss to India by handing a five-wicket defeat to the Men in Blue in the Super 4 stage.

It was another high-octane, last-over thriller match between the two arch-rivals.

A defeat never goes well with the fans, especially against Pakistan. The fans took to social media to troll Indian players, but a few crossed the line.

It was not a great day for the young Arshdeep Singh, as he dropped a sitter off Ravi Bishnoi’s bowling in the 18th over.

India was sliding back into the match and had Arshdeep taken the catch, the result might have been different.

Nevertheless, the left-arm seamer faced fans’ wrath, and a few crossed the line by calling him a Khalistani.

Amid the criticism and trolling, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has come to his support and issued a warning to the fans.

The Turbanator took to Twitter and wrote, “Stop criticizing young Arshdeep Singh. No one drops a catch purposely. We are proud of our boys, and Pakistan played better. Shame on those who are putting our own guys down by saying cheap things on this platform about Arshdeep and the team. Arsh is GOLD.”

Other than Harbhajan, a host of former cricketers and presenters like Harsha Bhogle criticized the fans and extended their support for Arshdeep Singh.

India next plays Sri Lanka on 6th September and Afghanistan on 8th September.
