Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh wants the national selectors to include pacers, who can bowl fast in the ICC T20 World Cup squad.
He said Umran Malik can be India’s trump card in Australia. The World Cup winner backed the inclusion of the Jammu and Kashmir pacer in the team.
Team India’s bowling was exposed by rivals in the Asia Cup 2022. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, and Arshdeep Singh along with all-rounder Hardik Pandya were not impactful against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 stage of the tournament.
Bhajji took to social media and said Umran can prove to be a crucial player for the Men in Blue.
“Who all wants to see today Mr 150 Umran malik in the World Cup team for India ?? Can be our trump card on those bouncy pitches in Australia.. Any thoughts ?” Harbhajan wrote.
