Haris Rauf became the joint fourth fastest Pakistan bowler to pick up 50 wickets in T20Is. He achieved the landmark during the Asia Cup final 2022 against Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Stadium.
Rauf dismissed Wanindu Hasaranga and joined Mohammad Amir, who also picked up his 50th wicket in the 41st match of the shortest format. Umar Gul is the fastest, with his half-century of wickets coming in 36 matches. Saeed Ajmal and Hasan Ali are second and third, respectively.
Haris Rauf came to the limelight after his magnificent performance for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League.
In the finale, he also took wickets of Pathum Nissanka and Danushka Gunathilaka. He could have added a fourth one, but Shadab Khan dropped the catch of Bhanuka Rajapaksa.
