Virat Kohli celebrated his maiden hundred in T20I and his 71st overall by kissing his wedding ring and thanking the fans for their support. He least expected to score a ton in the shortest format of the game and thanked god for giving him so much.
“I least expected my next century in T20Is, but it is good to be back after a long time. A lot was going on outside, but the team management was very welcoming when I returned from a break. L felt my old rhythm was coming back while batting in the net sessions,” he said.
Kohli also talked about his break from cricket. “I realized how tired I was after taking a break. It was more mentally, and it helped me to put things into perspective,” he added.
The 33-year-old remained unbeaten on 122 off 61 balls, with the help of 12 fours and 6 sixes.
