IND VS SA: Arshdeep Singh, the left-arm pacer for Team India, has impressed captain Rohit Sharma despite the team’s recent two-game losing streak in the Asia Cup. The youngster has so far displayed excellent technique, particularly at the death. India needed just seven runs to win both games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the final over.

Rohit was adamant in his response, saying that the team management wouldn’t be concerned by these things and that two bad days wouldn’t be enough to destroy years of hard work in their eyes.

In addition, Rohit made great efforts to refute the notion that the bowlers had been “mentally disturbed,” saying that despite the nature of the losses, they were all in a decent frame of mind.  The Indian skipper discussed how the left arm’s motivation to bowl the decisive over against Pakistan resulted from the dropped catch. He declared:

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who had two average performances, received additional support from Rohit, particularly in the death overs. He bowled the penultimate over for 19 (against Pakistan) and 14 in both games (against Sri Lanka). His total stats for both games were 8-0-70-1.

Team India will be eliminated from Asia Cup if Afghanistan loses to Pakistan on Wednesday (September 7).
