India is not favorite for the ICC T20 World Cup title – RP Singh

Former Indian cricketer RP Singh said that India is not a favorite for the ICC T20 World Cup title after a disappointing Asia Cup 2022. The Men in Blue won just a solitary game in the Super 4 phase and failed to defend their title.

India was eliminated from the group stage of the T20 World Cup in 2021.

“India are not favorites after their performance in the Asia Cup. If you want to win the trophy in Australia, you need to stick with the same group of players rather than changing them every now and then. If you continue to experiment, it will cause more confusion,” Singh told India TV Cricket on Saturday.

RP Singh also picked Team India’s squad for the global event.

RP Singh’s squad: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, KL Rahul, Deepak Chahar

Reserves: Deepak Hooda, Sanju Samson, Ravichandran Ashwin
