India head coach Rahul Dravid has reacted to the team’s poor performance in the Asia Cup 2022, saying losing two games on difficult surfaces doesn’t make them a bad team, and there is no need to overreact.
India and Afghanistan have been eliminated after defeats to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 stage.
“My role is to support the captain and other players. They must execute the plans on the field. Rohit is a pretty relaxed captain,” said Dravid.
“Losing two games on difficult tracks doesn’t make us a bad team. There is no need to overreact. Whether we win or lose, we look for improvement,” he added.
