Robin Uthappa announces retirement from all formats of cricket

Robin Uthappa on Wednesday announced his retirement from all forms of Indian cricket.

“It has been my greatest honour to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end, and with a grateful heart, I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you all,” he posted on Twitter.

In 46 one-day internationals, he scored 934 runs. The right-handed batter also represented India in 13 T20Is, scoring 249 runs.

Uthappa was a part of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning team. He is a three-time IPL champion and also won a Orange Cap while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Robin last played for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2022.
