Rohit Sharma is like MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev in captaincy – Here is what BCCI president Roger Binny said

Rohit Sharma has played all the editions of the ICC T20 World Cup and is currently leading India in Australia, his first ICC tournament as a captain.

India won the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, and since then, it has been a long wait for the second title in the shortest format.

BCCI chief Roger Binny was asked to compare Rohit’s captaincy with two World Cup-winning captains, Dhoni and Kapil Dev.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 90th annual day of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association in Chennai, he said you can’t compare individuals as all are different.

“Rohit is an experienced player. He has played for a long time and has been a part of all kinds of situations. Everyone has a different style. Dhoni is different. For that matter, you can’t compare Kapil or Gavaskar,” he said.

India will play their last group stage match against Zimbabwe in Melbourne on Sunday. If India win, they will top the group and qualify for the semis.
