Pakistan’s left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi was unfortunate to miss out on the Asia Cup because of a knee injury. The player has advised a minimum of 4 to 6 months of rest. However, with almost a month left until the ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistan Cricket is yet to announce its final squad. One major point of conversation is the availability of Shaheen Afridi. The player himself has dropped a hint on the same.
Afridi posted a video of him sweating it out in the gym on his social media. The player is more than excited to get back on the field and deliver a match-winning performance for the team. In order to receive the best treatment, he was then sent to London. “The PCB medical team has been receiving daily reports over the knee injury status of Shaheen and we expect the bowler will be there with the national team to play against India on October 23 in the World Cup match,” PCB’s chief executive officer Faisal Hasnain said.
