Team India’s player Shubman Gill made an impressive county debut as he amassed 92 in his first innings for Glamorgan. The right-handed batter top scored for his team and hit 8 fours and a six in his knock.
In response to Worcestershire’s 459/9d in the first innings, Gill’s team was 230/7 at the time of writing. The young Indian batter has been signed for the last four matches of the ongoing season.
Gill was India’s best player in the West Indies and Zimbabwe. He scored over 200 runs on both tours and won the Man of the Series. In Zimbabwe, he hit his maiden ODI ton as well.
In 11 Tests so far, the 22-year-old has struck 579 runs with the help of 4 fifties. His runs tally stands at 499 in 9 ODIs. He has an average of 71.28 and has hit a century and three fifties.
