Star Indian batter Smriti Mandhana is thinking to opt out of the upcoming Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL 2022) to manage her workload. The left-handed batter said that playing for her country is her priority.
“I’ll be thinking about pulling out of WBBL because I don’t want to miss matches for India. I want to give my 100 percent when I play international cricket,” she said.
“I have been playing regular cricket for a while now. “Post the one-day World Cup, I have been on the road with the domestic and the tournaments you mentioned [the Sri Lanka tour, the Commonwealth Games, the Women’s Hundred],” she added.
“I tell myself that because of COVID-19 we haven’t played much cricket and I really hoped that we came back and start playing cricket.”
