Former India player and the current president of the BCCI, Sourav Ganguly, has reacted to his comparison with Virat Kohli. The two have been compared based on their aggressive nature, but Ganguly refuted some claims.
According to him, the two players should be compared on their skills and not something else.
“Virat Kohli is more skillful than me. He would end up playing more games than me. I am leading the chart at the moment, but he will surpass me in the future,” he said.
When Ganguly was asked to suggest to Virat how to deal with constant scrutiny, the veteran said – “I don’t have any suggestion for him. All the players go through scrutiny. We had to deal with it in our times. Half of the news was not read by me as I made sure not to read the newspapers. However, these days you have social media and other sources as well.”
Virat has returned to form in the Asia Cup 2022, with the 33-year-old scoring two half-centuries and a century, his first in three years.
