Former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris said he wants to see Virat Kohli getting aggressive against Australia. Kohli recently scored his 71st international hundred in India’s final Asia Cup 2022 match against Afghanistan.
Styris said Virat has mellowed down and become a calmer person, which was visible when he scored his maiden T20I hundred.
However, Styris said he looks forward to seeing Kohli return to his confrontational mode.
“It’s the mindset I am looking forward to seeing from Kohli. He got the monkey off the back after his ton against Afghanistan,” he said.
“I have been waiting to see him return to that abrasive and aggressive. He can be at his fiery best against Starc, Cummins and others when the Aussies come to India for a T20I series,” he added.
