Former India player and one of the greatest batters of his era, Sunil Gavaskar, has made a shocking statement. He was asked by India Today about Virat Kohli praising Rohit Sharma for the healthy dressing room environment.
He refused to give importance to Virat’s words as the legendary player felt all the players would sing praises of the current leadership.
“It happens in every walk of life because your job and career depend on that. So when such comments come, I brush them aside, knowing that this is happening because of the current situation,” he said
“You have heard the current players saying that this management makes them feel secure. Look, nobody will say bad things about the captain and coach as it could impact his career,” he added.
Gavaskar also gave the example of the England team where everyone praises Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes. It seems the previous captain and coach were not good.
