Virat Kohli to lose 5kg weight after today’s hundred – Ravi Shastri

Former India head coach and one of the closest people to Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri, was a satisfied man after the 33-year-old ended his century drought in international cricket. He scored his first T20I hundred, and 71st overall came in the last match of the Asia Cup 2022.

Shastri talked about the mental state of the right-handed batter. “He was under pressure as fans and media kept reminding him about his rough patch. Even he must be thinking about it. Virat Kohli will lose at least 5kg weight, not from his waist but his head, after breaking the shackles,” he said.

Virat was unbeaten on 122 off 61 balls, which included 12 fours and 6 sixes. He has equaled Ricky Ponting’s record of 71 tons, with only Sachin Tendulkar (100) ahead of the Indian batter.
