Mohammed Siraj, who is currently playing for Warwickshire in the English County Season, dismissed Pakistan’s opener Imam-ul-Haq on day one of the matches.
Somerset won the toss and elected to bat first. Imam, who went for a cut short, ended up giving a simple catch to wicket-keeper Michael Burgess. He accumulated 5 runs off 20 balls.
Meanwhile, Siraj was not considered for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.
The selectors announced the squad on Monday for the global event, with Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel making a comeback after recovering from injuries.
Siraj, who has bowled well in Tests and ODIs, hasn’t been impressive in the shortest format of the game.
