Afghanistan fans once again behaved like goons after their team lost to Pakistan in the Super 4 stage of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.
In a video shared by former Pakistan player Shoaib Akhtar, Afghan nationals can be seen breaking chairs and hitting supporters of the Pakistan team.
“This is what Afghan fans are doing. This is what they’ve done in the past multiple times. This is a game and it’s supposed to be played and taken in the right spirit. @ShafiqStanikzai your crowd & your players both need to learn a few things if you guys want to grow in the sport,” he wrote. For the record, the Men in Green won the game by 1 wicket after Naseem Shah smashed consecutive sixes. Pakistan has qualified for the finale and will face Sri Lanka on September 11.
On the other hand, Afghanistan and India have been eliminated from the tournament.
